Training on Intellectual Property

Training on Intellectual Property was opened in the Academy of the Ministry of Finance on 11th of June. Participants of the training were from the Revenue Service of Georgia and Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance. Aim of the training is to educate participants regarding Intellectual Property and its standards. Common standards and regulation from the EU countries will also be shared for the participants. After the training, trainees will have the knowledge of the COPIS data base and other statistical systems, tendencies and risk analysis, risk profiling and selection, daily challenges and discovering counterfeit products.

The training-courses for the professional educational institutions (Part II)

In the Academy of the Ministry of Finance, second stage of the training has begun for the representatives of the professional institutions. Training theme is Human Rights Management and Project Management. Training will be held with 3 groups and 81 participants from state and private school representatives who are mainly managers will participate. Participants will study: Organizational management, Humand Resource planning, Personal management, personal selection, formulations of the project goals, determination of the activities and their sequence, creating monitoring plan and other relevant subject.

Human Resource Management Training

Human Resource Management Training is being conducted in the Academy of the Ministry of Finance. Participants are from the Ministry of Finance Central Department, Human Resource Department and Service Agency employees. Human Resource Management course will highlight every direction related to Human Resource Management. Participants will acquire knowledge and techniques which is necessary to implement Human Resource Management. Information during the trainings will have practical nature, therefore the participants will have ability to acquire practical knowledge.

Professional knowledge trainings in the Academy

The training for Professional Knowledge is conducted in the Academy of the Ministry of Finance by the Ministry of Education. On the first stage 81 participant (3 Groups) will attend short course about ‘public finance control’. Amongst them will be representatives of the Ministry of Education, heads of the Professional Knowledge departments, financial and procurement managers. Mentioned course is supported and financed by the EU program –‘Support for Quality Improvement and Capacity Building in Georgia’.

Visit of the delegation of Finance and Economics Institute of Tajikistan

The Academy of the Ministry of Finance is hosting the delegation of the Finance and Economics Institute of Tajikistan Visit is in the framework of the study tour and will last for 1 week The Academy developed special program which includes best practice and knowledge sharing for the listeners. Subjects include Internal Audit, Budgeting, Fiscal forecasting, procurement as well as subjects related to teaching processes. Employees of the Academy of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Ministry of Finance, Analytical Services, Revenue Services, State treasury and State Treasury participated in the teaching. It is also planned to introduce employees of the Finance and Economics Institute of Tajikistan with the implemented and current reform. At the end of the course, participants will receive course attendance certificates.

Training -„THE FOUNDATIONS OF GRANT WRITING“

The training about –‘The Foundation of Grant Writing’ is being conducted in the Academy of the Ministry of Finance. Trainer is one of the most experienced Fundraisers in Georgia-Ariela Shapiro. Above-mentioned training will help representatives from budgetary and private sector representatives who are interested to learn specifics of the grant writing steps, both the structural and content wise. Training will also help to identify the steps how to locate the donor organizations for different projects.

Joint Project of the New Economic Opportunity (NEO )and the Academy of the Ministry of Finance

Unemployment is one of the most sensitive subject in Georgia. Even though that there are work able population there is high number of unemployment which is resulted with their low qualification levels. Work emigration is increased. Taking account above mentioned problem, the Academy of the Ministry of Finance and USAID/New Economic Opportunities accomplished the project which inclined three different steps. During the first phase of the project, the Academy researched the demand of employment from budgetary organizations as well as done the research amongst the population of Zugdidi and Gori Municipalities in order later to give them professional training.

Training of Employees in the Systems of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia

The Ministry of Finance of Georgia begins training for the employees. For this reason, the Academy of the Ministry of Finance is working on creating programs in accordance with a Training Need Assessment.

The purpose for the training is to introduce trainees to the activities and daily routines within of structural units of the MOF. The program supports close connection between units in the system and improving team spirit.

As a result the employees of the Ministry of Finance will be more informed about the main trainings in the system of the Ministry of Finance.

New Training Complex of the Academy

The Academy of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia will soon open new training complex in accordance with international standards and equipped with the latest technologies. The complex will include: training classroom, conference hall, computer and language centers.

New audiences will be equipped with computer and net devices, projective screens, interactive touch boards, visual and audio informational technologies will help to create a flexible and convenient learning environment. Computer and lingophonic equipment will be installed in the language center.

The new training complex will be located within the Ministry of Finance compound. The infrastructure of the complex will provide all necessary conditions for the educational and professional development of the trainees.
